Job summary

Thunder Bay Community Health Service, Inc. (TBCHS) in Hillman, MI is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative setting.

The PA/NP will work with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide general medical care, preventive services, and management of urgent conditions, while developing individualized plans of care and coordinating referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current, valid Michigan PA-C or NP license.
• National and/or state certification as required by TBCHS.
• Must be in good standing with applicable regulatory boards.
• Current DEA registration.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• Site-to-site travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general medical care and treatment in collaboration with physicians.
• Assess patients' health and provide preventive care.
• Evaluate and treat urgent and emergent conditions within scope.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and appropriate treatments.
• Refer patients to physicians and specialty resources when needed.
• Develop and document individualized plans of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient goals and outcomes.
• Supervise interns as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with Michigan licensing requirements and completing required CME.
• Provide professional, timely, and patient-centered care.
