Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Okeechobee Correctional Institution team in Florida. The role works under a physician in a correctional setting, performing assessments, diagnosing conditions, and managing medications to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required.
• Active FL ARNP or PA license.
• BLS certification required.
• DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Experience in correctional or primary care settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care under physician supervision in a correctional setting.
• Perform assessments, diagnose conditions, and manage medications.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Adhere to shift hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

We are currently seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at the Okeechobee Correctional Institution located in, Okeechobee, Florida.

The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant works under the supervision of a physician in a correctional environment and is responsible for assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care management. This includes collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, performing assessments, diagnosing patients, and medication management.

Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
