Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital seeks a Per Diem Physician Assistant for the General Surgery Clinic to provide outpatient care and assist in the operating room as needed. Duties include ordering tests, diagnosing and managing surgical patients, and documenting care plans.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from a PA program.
• Massachusetts PA license required.
• One year of PA experience preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ambulatory staff.
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support in the General Surgery outpatient clinic and assist in inpatient consultations and in the operating room as needed.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and manage pediatric and adult patients requiring surgical care with attending physicians.
• Document patient assessments, histories, physicals, diagnoses, and care plans.
