Job summary

MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. is seeking a Prior Authorization Operations professional to process and finalize PA requests in line with client guidelines and turnaround times.

The role requires interaction with physicians, pharmacies, and internal teams to obtain missing information and ensure accurate determinations. You will work under supervision with a clear career path and gain experience in analytics, client service, and clinical decision alignment.

Qualifications

• GED/HS Diploma required with 1+ year experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite including Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to interpret and apply clinical and client guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Process and finalize Prior Authorization (PA) requests within client timelines.
• Enter PAs into the system and prioritize requests; review formulary options.
• Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, and members to obtain missing information.
• Communicate PA determinations and status to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clinical pharmacists to ensure proper boundaries of admin processing.
• Maintain documentation of PA activity and results.
• Resolve PA processing issues through inquiries to clients and SMEs.
