Job summary

MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. is seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist to process and finalize PA requests per client turnaround times. You will enter PAs into our systems, check formulary options, and verify that the requested drug is indicated for the condition.

Collaborating with clinical pharmacists and internal teams, you will ensure accuracy, quality, and timely responses. On-site role in San Diego with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• GED/HS Diploma required with 1+ year related experience.
• Strong ability to communicate and document PA decisions.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process and finalize PA requests within client turnaround times.
• Enter PAs into the system and prioritize requests; document status.
• Check formulary alternatives and verify indications for the condition.
• Coordinate notifications to physicians, pharmacies, and members as needed.
