Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking a Per Diem Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant to support patient care under physician supervision. This role requires 1-2 years of cardiac surgery experience and entails weekend, night, and holiday coverage as needed.

Education and certifications include an AMA-accredited PA program, PA license, NCCPA, and BLS/AHA/HCP plus ACLS certifications. Excellent communication and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms

Responsibilities

• Assist, monitor, and manage day-to-day patient needs under physician supervision.
• Perform duties of a Physician Assistant per medical standards.

Job description

The Per Diem Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant assists, monitors, and manages the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician. Performs the duties and responsibilities of a Physician Assistant according to customary and generally accepted medical standards. Cardiac surgery Physician Assistant with a minimum of 1-2 years experience required. Cardiac Surgery experience prefered. Weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
