Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Mid-Level Project Controls Specialist (P6 Scheduler) in New York to support planning, scheduling, cost management, forecasting, and reporting on large-scale utility and EPC projects. You will partner with Project Managers to develop, maintain integrated schedules using Primavera P6 and related tools, and contribute to project controls deliverables.

The ideal candidate has 4-6 years in project controls, CPM/EVM knowledge, and experience with SAP, EcoSys, SQL, and Power

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of project controls experience within the utility, power delivery, or EPC industry.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling.
• Strong understanding of CPM, schedule development, resource loading, baseline management, and schedule logic.
• Experience supporting engineering and construction projects through planning, scheduling, forecasting, and reporting.
• Experience with SAP, EcoSys, and Microsoft Power BI.
• Proficiency with SQL and Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; strong communication.
• Ability to travel or accept long-term field assignments as needed.
• OSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6.
• Create and manage Level 1, 2, and 3 project schedules; monitor schedule performance and critical path.
• Establish and maintain schedule logic ties, constraints, and baseline schedules.
• Analyze schedule impacts, identify risks, and provide recommendations to project teams.
• Prepare and present schedule status reports to project management and clients.
• Develop and maintain cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and project forecasts.
• Support earned value management (EVM), cost management, and schedule performance reporting.
• Support EPC planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost control; analyze project controls reports.
• Ensure accurate project setup in EcoSys and SAP and maintain WBS for tracking PO's, subcontracts, budgets.
• Monitor budgets against purchase orders and subcontract commitments; manage change control process.
