Job summary

The Saguaro Austin invites applications for a dynamic Restaurant Barback. You will support the bar team, replenish stocks, keep the workspace clean, and ensure fast, friendly service in a lively hotel setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Hospitality or service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Must be courteous and professional at all times.
• Maintain good communications and teamwork with colleagues and departments.
• Provide guests with a friendly experience aligned with brand standards.
• Understand and apply the proper sequence of service for each guest.
• Know the POS system to coordinate with team members.
• Stock and maintain bar area and bar supplies; keep area clean and organized.
• Assist coworkers to ensure a great environment for guests and staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain safety awareness throughout the hotel.
• Participate in scheduled department and administrative meetings.

We are seeking a dynamic Restaurant Barback to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities

1. Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
2. Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
3. Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the company’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
4. Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest
5. Possess knowledge of the POS system to correctly and strategically coordinate with team members
6. Stock and maintain bar area and bar supplies, ensuring superior cleanliness and organization
7. Assist coworkers in any task necessary to ensure a great environment for guests and coworkers
8. Execute any additional employee duties requested by managementPossess expert knowledge of all food and beverage aspects of the restaurant
9. Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
10. Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested
