Job Title

P-T Weekends Warehouse/Forklift Operator & Utility Operator Openings

Position Overview

Shaw Industries, one of the world's largest flooring manufacturers, is hiring forklift operators (LTO II) and utility operators (Utility LTO) for part-time weekend shifts. Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday from 7am-5pm. We offer competitive pay, an inclusive work environment, and opportunities for growth and advancement.

Starting pay is $19.16

Work schedule: Saturday-Sunday, 7:00am-5:00pm.

Position Objectives and Responsibilities

The goal is to maintain a safe, clean, and environmentally correct work area, supporting supervisors and management with various tasks. Essential functions include:

• Empty trash cans and recycle centers inside and outside the plant.
• Maintain bottled water stations and make Gatorade, fill Popsicles.
• Dispose of broken wood, pallets, and unwanted plywood.
• Report unsafe storage areas.
• Clean up spills immediately to prevent slips and trips.
• Properly dispose of sharp objects.
• Monitor and report dumpster and trash compactor levels.
• Operate sweeper and floor scrubber regularly.
• Maintain cleanliness by emptying trash and removing damages.
• Walk aisles and zones to pick up trash and dispose of pallets and damage.
• Maintain MRM Area and fill out checklists.
• Load scrap pallets, cardboard, and plastic onto trailers.
• Maintain lift truck gas levels.
• Help clean non-conformance areas as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical and Safety Requirements

• Sit on a lift truck for entire shift.
• Mount/Dismount lift truck approximately 15 times per hour using three points of contact.
• Work in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures.
• Bend and lift up to 50 lbs., up to 20 times per hour.

Safety and Training

• Complete Lift Truck Operator training.
• Complete all SAFE, quality, and job-related training.
• Wear required PPE.
• Follow traffic flow and safety rules.
