SUNY Westchester Community College is seeking a Part-time Technical Assistant/Film Tech to maintain the Film Department equipment and oversee the Mac lab's day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include inventory tracking, student data logging, equipment setup/breakdown for lessons, and troubleshooting camera, lighting, and audio gear from pre- to post-production.

• Tracking and updating equipment inventory via an electronic lending system on an ongoing basis.
• Logging and updating student information; tracking equipment returns.
• Performing routine maintenance, fixing or recommending replacement of broken equipment.
• Setting up and breaking down equipment for classroom lesson plans.
• Troubleshooting student and faculty issues with camera, light, and sound equipment from pre-production through post-production.
• Overseeing day-to-day operations in the department Mac computer lab.
• Supporting and assisting students working on film projects with issues ranging from editing video to exporting across a variety of software programs.
• Reporting any issues with computers, printers, and projectors to IT/Media departments.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervising faculty member.
