GENERAL PURPOSE

Position leads a variety of administrative and semi-skilled tasks in the operation of city and park facilities.

SUPERVISIONRECEIVED

Position works and leads under the general supervision of the Facility Services Supervisor and Facility Services Crew Leader.

SUPERVISIONEXERCISED

Partially supervises part-time staff with the help of the Facility Services supervisor and Facility Services Crew leader.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Will supervise p/t staff in the park facilities
• Assist with programs as assigned or as needed
• Must be available Monday thru Sunday including holidays
• Drive city vehicles including trucks, passenger vans and buses
• Weekly report on park restrooms and the concession stands.
• Assist with training
• Restocking supply closets, reporting and entering work orders

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education & Experience: work experience with the public desired, good communication skills, knowledge of computer usage, great attitude, flexible, office skills, finance skills
• Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Customer Service skills required
• Tools & Equipment Used: (Not limited to) personal computer, calculator, copy/fax/scan machine, phone, portable radio, automobile, hand truck, IPAD, tablet, cell phone, computer / registration software, cash register.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is required to sit, walk, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and lift. The employee is occasionally asked to lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs. and sometimes lift and/or more than 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job and includes close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office and moderately loud when in the field.
