Florida Institute of Technology seeks a part-time Bus Driver/Operator for the Transportation Department in Melbourne. The role runs August through May, offering 20–27 hours per week on rotating shifts from early morning to noon.
You will drive campus routes, be a friendly campus ambassador, and support fleet reporting with basic computer tasks. The position requires a CDL Class A or B with a passenger endorsement and at least one year of experience operating passenger buses with 16+ capacity.
Join the front line of campus life as a Bus Driver/Operator with the University's Transportation Department! This part‑time, 9‑month position (August‑May) plays a key role in delivering safe, reliable, and friendly service to our campus community. Drivers work 20‑27 hours per week on rotating shifts between 4:45 AM and 12:30 PM, supporting operations seven days a week. They may also be asked to be on‑call or support overtime driving. As a vital part of our team, you’ll be the face of the university for many students, faculty, and visitors—providing exceptional service with every ride. This essential position requires a CDL Class A or B with passenger endorsement and at least one year of experience operating passenger buses (16+ capacity). The position is considered essential personnel and must report for emergency preparedness or response.
