Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team and provide care to our geriatric patients. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elderly patients and a strong understanding of respiratory conditions and treatments. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, including weekend rotations, and a competitive salary range of $35.00 - $40.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory health and develop treatment plans based on their specific needs and conditions
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies, such as oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, and nebulizer treatments
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and self‑care techniques
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
• Document all patient care and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in respiratory therapy and implement new techniques and treatments as appropriate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
• Current state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with geriatric patients
• Strong understanding of respiratory conditions and treatments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility to work a full‑time schedule, including weekend rotations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document patient care accurately
• Current CPR certification
