Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Salary Range: $40 - $45 per hour

Hours: 35 hours per week, 3/12 hour nightshift, every other weekend rotation

Location: Skilled nursing facility with a vent unit, offering post-hospital, short term rehab, and long term care services.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a vent unit and providing respiratory care to patients in a post-hospital setting. This position will require working 3/12 hour nightshifts and every other weekend rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in the vent unit
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered by physicians
• Monitor and evaluate patients' response to treatments and make necessary adjustments to care plans
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care to patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a vent unit or acute care setting
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work nightshifts and every other weekend rotation
