Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at our SNF and Outpatient facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients improve their physical function and quality of life through individualized treatment plans and exercises. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $26-30 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide patient care
- Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with various musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions
- Implement individualized treatment plans and exercises to help patients achieve their physical therapy goals
- Monitor and document patient progress and communicate with the Physical Therapist about any changes or concerns
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises to continue at home
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients
- Adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards in patient care and documentation
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure
- Previous experience in a SNF or outpatient setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and assisting patients with mobility
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes
