Position: Physical Therapist Assistant

Salary Range: $30.92 - $32.96 per hour

Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday with no weekend rotation

Location: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating and treating patients with a variety of physical conditions and injuries.
• Implement treatment plans under the guidance of the Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
• Monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities to be performed at home.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team and provide updates on patient progress and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution.
• State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
