Position Overview: The Insurance Product Analyst will lead efforts to develop and refine insurance policies, raters, and coverage structures that meet market demands and regulatory standards. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance coverage, policy design, and rate modeling. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our products deliver value to clients while maintaining profitability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop insurance policies, endorsements, and coverage structures tailored to market needs and client demands.
  2. Build and maintain rating models to ensure pricing accuracy and competitiveness while meeting profitability targets.
  3. Conduct comprehensive analysis of policy performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement in coverage design and rate structures.
  4. Collaborate with underwriting teams to refine guidelines and ensure alignment with product objectives.
  5. Ensure all policies and raters comply with applicable regulatory standards and filing requirements.
  6. Provide expertise on insurance coverage terms and conditions to internal teams, including underwriting, sales, and marketing.
  7. Contribute to digital transformation initiatives by defining technology needs for rating tools, policy administration systems, and related platforms.
  8. Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product differentiation and growth.
  9. Support training efforts by creating clear documentation and resources for internal teams and distribution partners.
Qualifications
  1. 2-4 years of experience in insurance product development, underwriting, or related roles with a strong focus on policy and rater design.
  2. In-depth understanding of insurance coverage terms, policy structures, and rating methodologies.
  3. Strong analytical skills with experience working with rating engines, Excel, SQL, or other data analysis tools.
  4. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience preparing filings for insurance products is a plus.
  5. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex coverage concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  6. Experience with technology platforms for policy and rating management is a plus.
