Job summary

The Hilb Group internship offers students a chance to explore careers in insurance brokerage by rotating through Personal Lines and Commercial Lines. You will work with our commercial lines team and gain exposure to real client service projects while developing practical skills.

You will assist with policy documentation, renewals, and administrative tasks, plus participate in client meetings with producers to observe best practices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to commute to our New England offices.
• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious, motivated, and eager to learn about the insurance industry and grow professionally.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between Personal Lines and Commercial Lines departments to gain hands-on exposure to both lines of coverage.
• Support account management team with policy documentation, endorsements, renewals, and administrative tasks.
• Assist with data entry, reporting, and quality checks within the agency management system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in client appointments and sales meetings with producers to observe client service and sales best practices.
• Contribute to special projects aimed at improving internal processes, client experience, or operational efficiency.
• Build professional communication skills through interactions with internal stakeholders.
