Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of related experience in P&C insurance economic capital modeling or closely related quantitative modeling.
• Proven ability to design or build stochastic models beyond operating existing models.
• Strong understanding of Monte Carlo simulation, VaR/TVaR, dependency modeling, diversification and capital attribution.
• Experience incorporating catastrophe-model output and knowledge of reinsurance structures.
• Proficiency in Python, R or other quantitative languages; ability to work with large datasets.
• Ability to communicate sophisticated quantitative concepts to nontechnical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep technical understanding of CSAA's ReMetrica-based economic capital model and independently reproduce and enhance it.
• Design and build stochastic economic capital models integrating underwriting, reserves, catastrophe, investments, credit, reinsurance, and other risks.
• Evaluate VaR, TVaR, tail-risk, diversification, and capital attribution; assess model stability and tail uncertainty.
• Partner with Reinsurance, Investments, Product Management, catastrophe modeling, and FP&A to translate capital results into business insights.
• Develop methodologies for capital allocation to products, states, and risks; analyze risk-adjusted profitability.
