Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Capital Modeling Lead to develop and advance internal economic capital modeling and analytics. The role works closely with risk management, actuarial, investments, and FP&A to expand capital analytics across the business and decision processes.

The successful candidate will design, validate, and potentially lead an internal capital model, using ReMetrica and other tools, while ensuring robust governance and scalable processes for stress testing and scenario

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of P&C economic capital modeling or related quantitative insurance modeling experience.
• Ability to design or build stochastic models rather than only operate existing models.
• Strong programming capability in Python, R, or another quantitative language.
• Ability to communicate sophisticated quantitative concepts to nontechnical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep technical understanding of CSAA’s ReMetrica-based economic capital model.
• Independently reproduce, challenge, and enhance model calculations and methodologies.
• Design and build stochastic economic capital models incorporating major risk factors.
• Evaluate VaR, TVaR, tail-risk, diversification, and capital attribution approaches.
• Collaborate with risk management, investments, product, catastrophe modeling, and FP&A to apply capital analytics.
