Job summary

Pacific Seafood in South Bend is seeking an Oyster Production Worker-Inshell to join the South Bend Shellstock production team. You will support production tasks and inspect oysters for quality, grade, and size, while maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

This role is ideal for meticulous, independent workers who thrive in a team setting. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and adapting to variable shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience with food processing equipment, sanitation, and food safety.
• Experience safely operating forklifts and powered pallet jacks.
• Experience with radio frequency handheld scanners and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Inspect product for quality, grade, and size.
• Pack product according to company standards.
• Maintain methods to ensure quality and consistency.
• Maintain proper par levels to meet production demands.
• Communicate supply material levels to ensure continuous production.
• Uphold plant safety and hygiene by following protocols.
• Work independently and as part of a flexible team.
