Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Test Engineer focused on oxygen systems for Starship-related propulsion hardware. You will design, execute and optimize tests, develop data acquisition, and collaborate with design engineers to ensure safety and reliability of high‑pressure oxygen components.

The role requires hands-on testing experience, knowledge of hazardous systems and proficiency with 3D modeling tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical engineering or related field.
1+ years of hands-on testing experience (internships, clubs or other activities qualify).
Knowledge of hazardous/high-pressure systems (cryogenic, flammable, hypergolic).
Knowledge of oxygen system design considerations, including component selection and cleanliness.
Experience with data acquisition and software (NI-based).

Responsibilities

Develop and execute tests at material, component and subsystem level.
Design, fabricate and operationalize test capabilities for material/component flammability in high pressure oxygen environments.
Define test strategies and collaborate with design engineers to qualify test stands and flight hardware.
Own test campaigns from plan creation to data review and equipment fabrication.
Provide direction to technicians for fabrication and integration of test articles and stand equipment.
Develop and maintain test procedures, sequences, scripts and software.
Operate and troubleshoot data acquisition and control systems and instrumentation.
Address hazards and anomalies with design improvements for test stands and hardware.
