Job summary

A recycling company in Atlanta is seeking a Burner/Torch Cutter responsible for cutting large ferrous materials using an oxy-fuel torch. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, pass background checks, and be able to work in varying weather conditions. Qualifications

• Must pass Background check.
• Must complete Physical and pass a Drug Screen.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all materials are safely and properly staged for processing.
• Cut oversized ferrous materials to desired specifications using an oxy-fuel torch.
• Inspect and maintain all torch equipment to ensure safe and efficient working conditions.
• Adhere to all company and safety rules regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain work area for fire control and eliminate trip/fall hazards.

Skills

Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)

Experience with Oxy-Fuel torch

General knowledge of scrap metal processing
