Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Project Quality Manager I to support owner-side quality on capital projects. You will watch contractor and supplier activities, review documentation, and track findings to drive closure, reporting through the project quality lead to ensure compliance with the quality plan.

The role fits an inspector or QC engineer who wants to see quality written into the requirements and to contribute to a formal owner-side program.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality control, inspection, or QA on construction or industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• A certification such as ICC, NICET, CWI, or CIP is a strong plus.
• Comfortable reading specifications, procedures, and inspection records and finding the gaps.
• Clear written reporting and organization under document-heavy work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality surveillance of contractor and supplier work against the project quality plan and specifications.
• Review contractor QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications for completeness and compliance.
• Track audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in the project quality database.
• Witness hold and witness points and document the results.
• Prepare weekly quality status inputs for the project quality manager.
