Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Project Quality Manager I to oversee owner-side surveillance of contractor and supplier activities on capital projects. The role emphasizes reviewing QC plans, witnessing holds, and tracking audit findings to ensure conformance with the project quality plan.

You will report quality status to the project quality lead and coordinate with field teams on a mix of site and documentation tasks, including evidence collection and formal reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality control, inspection, or QA on construction or industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• A certification such as ICC, NICET, CWI, or CIP is a strong plus.
• Comfortable reading specifications, procedures, and inspection records and finding the gaps.
• Clear written reporting.
• Organized under document-heavy work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality surveillance of contractor and supplier work against the project quality plan and specifications
• Review contractor QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications for completeness and compliance
• Track audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in the project quality database
• Witness hold and witness points and document the results
• Prepare weekly quality status inputs for the project quality manager
