Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Project Quality Manager I on the owner's or EPC contractor's side of a capital project. You will support the project quality program by auditing contractor and supplier quality activity and by reviewing quality documentation and inspection records.

You will track audit findings to closure, report quality status to the project quality lead, and write the gaps in records with clear, factual communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality control, inspection, or QA on construction or industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• A certification such as ICC, NICET, CWI, or CIP is a strong plus.
• Comfortable reading specifications, procedures, and inspection records and finding the gaps.
• Clear written reporting.
• Organized under document-heavy work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality surveillance of contractor and supplier work against the project quality plan and specifications.
• Review contractor QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications for completeness and compliance.
• Track audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in the project quality database.
• Witness hold and witness points and document the results.
• Prepare weekly quality status inputs for the project quality manager.
