Job summary

Pacifico Energy LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer for the Cedar Creek project in the U.S. You will oversee electrical systems, including generators, switchgear, transformers, and protection schemes, ensuring readiness through turnover.

This role requires 10+ years of field experience, hands-on commissioning, and familiarity with NFPA 70E, safety practices, and relevant software tools. On-site work and collaboration with contractors are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years commissioning electrical systems on power plants.
• Hands-on experience with generator and protection system commissioning.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E and safe switching practices.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu, Procore and AI verification tools.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical commissioning and test procedures before execution.
• Witness protection relay testing, primary injection and energization.
• Witness generator testing and excitation system commissioning.
• Track electrical system readiness through to turnover.
• Drive resolution of electrical startup issues with the contractor and vendors.
• Support performance testing of electrical systems.
• Monitor preservation and storage of electrical equipment through commissioning.
