Job summary

Pacifico Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to govern the electrical design for a 1,100 MW gas turbine power project. You will review single lines, protection coordination, load flow studies, and field queries, partnering with the site team to meet the project schedule.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in power-plant electrical engineering and hands-on generator connection and protection design experience, with strong knowledge of IEEE and NFPA 70 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical design deliverables, single lines and equipment specifications.
• Assess protection coordination and short circuit studies.
• Review load flow studies and system stability analysis.
• Evaluate electrical change requests and field queries.
• Partner with the site team on electrical questions.
• Track design deliverable status against the schedule.
• Monitor preservation and storage requirements for electrical equipment.

Cedar Creek is a 1,100 MW simple-cycle gas turbine power project built under a lump-sum EPC contract. As Electrical Engineer you govern the electrical design on the owner's behalf: generators, medium and low voltage distribution, protection, and the electrical balance of plant.
