The Project Manager oversees multiple concurrent development projects from early feasibility through construction handoff, ensuring all initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and to high quality standards. This role serves as a strategic partner to real estate and design teams, coordinates third-party consultants, and manages communication with operators and internal development teams to support successful retail and restaurant construction programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple development projects at the same time, maintaining detailed schedules and tracking project readiness from early development stages through construction handoff.
• Ensure all projects meet established deadlines, scope requirements, and quality standards while proactively identifying and addressing risks and issues.
• Partner closely with client real estate and design teams to provide strategic guidance during feasibility and planning phases, helping shape site strategies and development approaches.
• Coordinate and oversee third-party consultants, including surveyors, geotechnical specialists, environmental consultants, and signage vendors, to complete due diligence activities accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with clients and internal development teams to value engineer site layouts, optimizing designs for cost, constructability, and operational efficiency.
• Prepare accurate, defensible project cost estimates that support budgeting, approvals, and financial planning.
• Maintain consistent, clear communication with operators, reviewing plans, milestones, and project status throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support seamless transitions from development to construction by facilitating documentation, coordination, and effective knowledge transfer between teams.
• Review contracts and purchase orders, providing informed recommendations for approval and ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Validate, qualify, and approve project-related invoices in alignment with contract terms, budgets, and project progress.
• Collaborate with vendors, client and development teams, and on-site contractors or general contractors to keep projects on track and resolve issues quickly.

Essential Skills

• 3–10 years of project management experience in retail, restaurant construction, or similar multi-site development environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining high levels of organization and attention to detail.
• Experience working within program management for multi-site, large renovation, or tenant improvement (TI) programs.
• Hands-on experience collaborating with vendors, client and development teams, and on-site contractors or general contractors.
• Strong project management skills, including scheduling, scope management, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate due diligence activities with surveyors, geotechnical, environmental, and signage consultants.
• Capability to review contracts, purchase orders, and invoices and provide sound recommendations aligned with project and contract terms.
• Ability to partner effectively with real estate, design, and operations teams to align project plans with business objectives.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Business Administration, Engineering, Real Estate, or a similar field is preferred.
• Previous experience with retail or restaurant development programs is preferred.
• Experience in large renovation or tenant improvement (TI) programs is highly beneficial.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional internal teams and external partners.
• Comfort with value engineering site layouts and developing accurate, defensible cost estimates.
• Ability to support documentation and knowledge transfer between development and construction teams.

Work Environment

The role operates in a dynamic, project-driven environment focused on retail and restaurant construction and development. You will work closely with cross-functional partners in real estate, design, development, construction, and operations, as well as external consultants and vendors such as surveyors, geotechnical and environmental specialists, and signage providers. The position involves managing multiple projects simultaneously, balancing strategic planning with day-to-day coordination and documentation. Work is primarily conducted in an office or hybrid setting with regular virtual and in-person collaboration, and occasional site or vendor meetings may be required depending on project needs. Professional business attire is expected for client-facing interactions and meetings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $63.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
