Job summary

Colliers Project Leaders in Florida seeks a Project Manager to oversee municipal, K-12 and Higher Ed projects, guiding design, construction and closeout stages to deliver on time and on budget.

You will manage client relationships, coordinate architects, engineers and other consultants, and drive project performance, schedules and cost control while ensuring compliance with codes and client goals. This role also offers leadership opportunities and room for growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in the building design / construction, architecture, and/or engineering field.
  • Prior experience with Municipal, K-12 and/or Higher Ed preferred.
  • Knowledge of permitting and zoning laws.
  • Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the client relations, design, construction, and FF&E process.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage various tasks, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Enthusiasm to promote and drive implementation of projects.
  • Professionally recognized designations are considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the project management process and roles of each team member, including the architects, engineers, and other consultants, and manage all these dynamics.
  • Manage the process and ensure the clients' goals and objectives are being addressed and met within the financial and schedule parameters for multiple stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate issues related to scheduling, logistics, sequencing, cost, quality, and progress as well as negotiating claims and change orders.
  • Review and evaluate project related materials such as project descriptions, drawings and specifications, budgets, schedules, contracts, and proposals for services prepared by others, as well as review construction documents on a regular basis for conformance to project goals, value engineering and constructibility.
  • Develop project related documents such as monthly reports, budgets, schedules, presentations, minutes, insurance tracking logs, etc. and review documents prepared by internal team members for accuracy and reporting purposes.
  • Oversee and manage staff with respect to deliverables, performance, and project commitments.

Colliers Project Leaders is looking for a Project Manager to join us in Florida! In this role, you'll be responsible for the project management/owner's representation services on Municipal, K-12 and Higher Ed projects to ensure the success of owners, and occupants. This will include active management of the design, construction, and closeout phases of building projects.
