Job summary

A leading engineering and consulting firm is looking for a Design Construction Manager to act as the Owner’s Design Representative in Charlotte, NC. The position requires strong experience in mission-critical environments, proficiency in modern construction tools, and ability to coordinate between various stakeholders. You will influence critical project decisions and ensure successful execution on high-stakes projects. Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in complex or mission-critical construction.
• Ability to represent the owner directly with confidence and credibility.
• Organized and comfortable operating independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of coordination between owner, designers, contractors, and vendors.
• Manage design‑phase budget, schedule, risk, and change.
• Deliver clear weekly executive reporting (schedule, cost, risks, KPIs).

Skills

Strong experience with electrical, mechanical, and controls systems

Deep understanding of MOPs and live-environment risk

Proficiency with Procore and modern construction tools

Organized and decisive

Forward-thinking mindset

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
