Job summary

GTC Manufacturing is hiring for a mechanical assembler to perform assembly work with varying complexity in a large manufacturing facility. You will verify parts against blueprints, lay out hole locations, and assemble components using hand tools and hoists, ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires physical dexterity, ability to work with close tolerances, and adherence to Navy specifications and safety procedures in a high-noise, heavy equipment environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Minimum one year related experience in heavy mechanical assembly is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts per blueprints and specs using hand tools and equipment.
• Verify conformance with stock list and blueprints using calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Set up components, align and bolt/screw/dowel parts, and test operation by hand.
