Job summary

The Tarrier Steel Company in Columbus, OH seeks a structural FCAW Fabrication Welder to turn drawings into durable steel components for building infrastructure across the country. You will review shop drawings and weld symbols, stage materials, and prepare FCAW equipment for structural welds on plates, angles, beams, channels, and HSS.

You will operate overhead cranes, perform thermal cutting, back-gouge, and grind as needed, and ensure clean, inspected welds.

Qualifications

• Ability to read shop drawings and interpret weld symbols.
• Proven FCAW experience on structural members (plates, angles, beams, channels, HSS).
• Safety-focused mindset with reliable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Review shop drawings and weld symbols, stage materials, and set up FCAW equipment for structural work.
• Weld on plates, angles, beams, channels, and HSS; perform thermal cutting, back-gouging, and grinding where needed.
• Move members using overhead cranes and rigging support; verify own work and correct issues ahead of QC.
