Job summary

Clayton Connect Pilot/Escort Driver position with ClaytonConnect team, responsible for safe transport of oversized loads. Requires driving with frequent overnight travel, coordinating with Toter drivers, and calling hazards via CB radio.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License; may require additional endorsements.
• Motor Vehicle Record & Background Check per Company Requirements.
• Must pass company drug testing and adhere to company policies.
• Must obtain/maintain a P/EVO and Defensive Driving Certification.
• Overnight stays 2–3 nights per week.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing inspections.
• Able to read/understand state Pilot/Escort requirements and bills of lading.

Responsibilities

• Pilot/Escort the home as it navigates the required route, calling out hazards.
• Maintain communication with the Toter driver via CB radio.
• Assist in preparing/maintaining cargo for shipment and delivery.
• Ensure representation of Clayton while on the road and at job sites.
• Coordinate with drivers to secure lanes and space for safe navigation.
