UACL Logistics in Warren, MI is seeking a detail-oriented Permits Clerk to support transportation operations, securing oversize, overweight, and specialty permits for loads across the United States and Canada.

You'll work closely with Dispatch and Planning to review load dimensions, route requirements, and permit conditions, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; logistics education preferred.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, permitting, or admin support preferred.
• Knowledge of oversize/overweight permitting processes is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain oversize, overweight, and specialty permits from state, provincial, and local agencies.
• Coordinate with Dispatch, Planning, and Operations teams to ensure permits are secured before movement.
• Review load dimensions, weights, axle configurations, and route requirements.
• Research route restrictions, escort requirements, curfews, and travel limitations.
• Monitor permit status and communicate updates to planners and dispatchers.
• Maintain accurate permit records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all permit conditions and transportation regulations.
• Communicate with permitting agencies and third-party permit services.
• Support route planning efforts by identifying restrictions and obstacles.
• Assist with other operational and administrative projects as assigned.
