Wedgwood Christian Services in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking an Overnight Youth Treatment Specialist (FT) for a residential program serving adolescent boys. You will supervise daily activities, support treatment programs, and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.

Responsibilities include bed checks every 15 minutes, documenting client records, and implementing intervention strategies. Qualifications emphasize 21+ years old, valid driver’s license, and English mastery; Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• English speaking required; Spanish speaking preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent required; further studies in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience supervising adolescents with emotional/behavioral disorders preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Vaccination requirements for federally funded programs (varicella, MMR, DTaP, influenza) are required.
• COVID precautions and PPE protocols must be observed.

Responsibilities

• Perform bed checks at least every 15 minutes within the residential program.
• Document accurate records and reports on bed checks and client behaviors.
• Create a therapeutic milieu marked by warmth, empathy and respect.
• Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of client treatment programs and activities.
• Observe and monitor client behaviors and hold residents accountable using agency interventions.
• Provide crisis intervention and document required reports.
• Transport residents as needed and maintain a clean, orderly home.
