Job summary

Wedgwood Christian Services in Grand Rapids is seeking a 3rd Shift Floating Youth Treatment Specialist to provide overnight care in our residential behavioral health program for adolescents (10-18). The role ensures a safe, calm, and structured night environment and supports residents’ growth.

Responsibilities include bed checks every 15 minutes, accurate documentation, crisis intervention when needed, and helping youth develop daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs. for safety needs.
• Alignment with Wedgwood’s faith, vision and values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine bed checks to ensure resident safety.
• Accurately document bed checks, observations and behaviors.
• Maintain a calm, structured overnight environment.
• Serve as a consistent, positive role model and build trust with residents.
• Utilize de-escalation and crisis intervention when necessary.
• Support youth in developing social, emotional, and daily living skills.
• Assist with basic household tasks and light meal prep.
• Administer medications as assigned and coordinate with medical staff.
• Provide basic first aid and transport residents as needed.
• Ensure residents have clothing and personal care items; follow policies.
