Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers, Inc. is hiring an Overnight Congregate Residential Counselor in South Boston, MA. This full-time role supports children ages 8-15 in a group home setting, providing a safe, structured environment and participating in school activities and community life.

Responsibilities include de‑escalation, logging daily activities, and collaborating with a team under supervision. Requires CORI check, valid ID, and ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with youth in a similar environment preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive environment for children under supervision.
• Maintain communication with other counselors and log daily activities.
• Assist with de-escalation and safe physical interventions when needed.
• Support structured, home-like living and participation in school and activities.
• Adhere to CORI/background check requirements and shift expectations.
