Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED required
- College courses related to social services or social services experience preferred
- 6 months – 1 year of related experience and/or training preferred
- Good organizational, interpersonal, communication and computer/typing skills required
- Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to write reports & compute basic figures and numbers
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form
- Ability to handle crisis/emergency situations or services for homeless situations and to utilize crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and motivate program participants in achieving housing goals
- Must have the ability to maintain a non-judgmental attitude in working with clients
- Ability to exhibit professional and courteous communication at all times
- Able to work independently and show initiative
- Must possess, or be eligible to receive, a fingerprint clearance card
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable
- Must be able to work various shifts, weekends, holidays
- An interpersonal style that is service oriented and willing to learn

- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Respond to intake queries; collect, record and analyze documentation and referral sources; select eligible and appropriate candidates for admission; refer candidates to other programs as necessary; add candidates to waiting list where applicable; supervise admission procedures.
- Supervise client medication administration; maintain medication logs; schedule and record all doctor and dental appointments; coordinate or arrange medical or psychiatric referrals; cultivate and record referral sources and resource assistance.
- Coordinate and oversee clients' living quarters and personal property to ensure policy compliance; conduct inspections, oversee cleanups, maintain furnishings; write personal property request slips; check inventories; maintain client oversight.
- Provide oversight to client reception; coordinate social services and arrange appropriate assistance; prepare and maintain monthly service reports; sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Coordinate and oversee client participation in outside activities such as support group meetings, church services, and appropriate special events.
- Provide assistance to the Program Coordinator, clinical staff, or vocational supervisors; oversee client crews, specific operations or functions, or special projects.
- Provide special administrative support to the Program Coordinator, including client database management, interface with IT regarding computer or network issues, and other special administration projects.
- Participate in staff meetings and may engage in religious activities as part of the work day.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator as necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position.
