Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking an Overnight Receiving Supervisor to direct warehouse operations across stores, supervising staff and coordinating daily freight schedules based on customer needs. The role emphasizes safe, efficient distribution and strong cross-department collaboration.

The candidate will oversee shipping/receiving, inventory control and equipment maintenance, with emphasis on safety and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center)
• Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills
• Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments
• Effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations
• Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing for shipping and receiving
• Direct day-to-day warehouse activities (shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control)
• Manage Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and product staging
• Maintain warehouse equipment and coordinate repairs with management
• Lead safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance
• Train associates and enforce standard operating procedures
• Handle employee inquiries and resolve issues
• Coordinate with other departments to improve warehouse efficiency
• Prepare activity reports for management
• Monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist
• Resolve discrepancies in shipping, invoices, and receiver reports
• Oversee Storage Buy Audit COP execution
• Ensure proper product staging for counting and inspection
• Oversee inventory rotation and space optimization
• Perform related duties as directed by management
