Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets in Ashland, VA is seeking a warehouse selector to join our distribution team. You will accurately pick products for Wegmans stores, using attention to detail and teamwork to ensure fast, error-free service.

The role requires overnight four 10-hour shifts per week, operating pallet jack and forklift, performing order audits, and maintaining the cold chain. You may lift 20-25 lbs on average, with heavier weights occasionally; Frozen positions earn an extra $2/hour.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 20-25 lbs on average, with occasional heavier lifts up to 50+ lbs.
• Overnight availability for four 10-hour shifts per week.
• Pallet jack, forklift, and Vocollect experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets safely and efficiently to maximize trailer space and minimize product damage.
• Operate pallet jack, forklift, and Vocollect as needed.
• Perform order audits to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain knowledge of quality standards and product specifications.
• Inform operations of daily quality issues through reports and communications.
• Maintain cold chain integrity on loads requiring temperature control.
