Job summary

Axalta Coating Systems in Mt. Clemens, MI is seeking an Overnight Shift Warehouse Operator to manage forklift driving, receiving, and outbound shipments.

You will verify materials, manage dunnage, and perform inventory checks while adhering to safety and DOT/IATA requirements. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of warehouse experience, forklift experience (training available), and SAP/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2-3 years related warehouse experience required.
• Forklift experience is preferred. If no Forklift experience, candidate must be willing to be trained to drive a forklift.
• Experience with chemicals is a plus.
• SAP experience (6 months minimum).
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Detail-Oriented; Excellent Time Management; Excellent Multitasking; Excellent Problem-Solving; Excellent Communication; Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and pick/deliver stock to the production floor.
• Unload inbound trailers and stage shipments.
• Use hand-held bar code scanners to update plant inventory and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain area safety and housekeeping standards.
• Assist with area Cycle Counting and loading of shipments.
• Prepare and ship materials to manufacturing departments as requested.
