Saint Francis Veterinary Center of South Jersey, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, seeks a motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our overnight team in Swedesboro, NJ.

You will support veterinarians during outpatient care, surgery prep, and patient flow, with 1–2 years of clinical experience and overnight availability. The role offers full-time hours, weekend rotation, and opportunities for professional growth within a nationwide veterinary network.

Qualifikationen

• 1-2 years of veterinary clinical experience required.
• Experience in an emergency or surgical setting preferred.
• Must have overnight availability.
• Experience with anesthesia preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Aufgaben

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Assist with preparation for surgeries and procedures, including anesthesia preparation, monitoring, and recovery
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts
• Be willing to guide, mentor and support fellow team members.
