Job summary

Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center in Middletown, CT is seeking an experienced overnight Veterinary Assistant to join our VECCS Level I hospital, dedicated to the highest standard of care and a culture of mentorship, teamwork and continued learning.

You will assist veterinarians and technicians, perform basic nursing tasks, husbandry, animal handling and restraint, and help ensure a fast-paced, collaborative environment where input from all staff is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Experience with basic nursing care, husbandry, handling restraint.
• Experience with EzyVet and SmartFlow a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians in daily clinical tasks.
• Perform basic nursing care, animal handling and restraint.
