Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Shift Supervisor (Unarmed) for a Transitional Shelter in the Parkchester area of the Bronx. The role is full-time, overnight shifts with flexibility across days Mon-Sun.

Pay ranges from $22.20 to $23.20 per hour, with responsibilities including directing staff, enforcing post orders, and maintaining service quality. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and at least two years of verifiable security

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• One of: Associate’s degree or higher, military service, or police cadets.
• Two years of verifiable security experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written/verbal orders and prepare reports.
• Planning, organizing and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem solving and data interpretation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site post orders.
• Provide direction and instruction to subordinates.
• Cross-train officers to increase versatility and site efficiency.
• Suggest productivity and cost reduction to management.
• Recommend security surveys and post orders.
• Recommend personnel actions for subordinates.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for the shift.
• Ensure contract training and screening elements are met.
• Minimize overtime and ensure quality of service.
• Inspect security personnel and performance for contract compliance.
• Assist in payroll, incident reports, and security surveys.
