Job summary

Evolve Treatment Centers seeks an Overnight Residential Counselor to supervise clients at a 6-bed residential center in California. You will stay awake during the night shift (10pm–6am), ensure safety and presence, perform light housekeeping, and assist with inventory checks as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stay awake all night; previous overnight shift experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have 6–9 months of experience working with teens with mental health or substance abuse.
• Have 6–9 months of experience in an adolescent group home or similar setting.
• All schedules require at least 1 weekend shift.
• Must be able to pass a LiveScan background check and clear federal and state criminal background checks, and child abuse indexes.
• Possess a valid California driver's license.
• Must be willing to interact with COVID-positive clients, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Be awake, alert, and active for the entire duration of the night shift (10pm-6am)
• Ensure clients are in bed all night and be able to provide line of sight of clients at all times
• Check on the clients every 15 minutes
• Walk through the facility and do a maintenance check
• Assist with inventory check and notify the facility manager of anything that needs attention
• Document all shift activity in KIPU
• Help maintain the cleanliness of the facility
• Attend and participate in monthly Treatment Team Meetings
