Job summary

Abraxas Youth and Family Services in Woodridge, IL is seeking an Overnight Supervisor to lead overnight staff, ensure safety, and maintain orderly operations in a residential setting.

You’ll oversee scheduling, training, and compliance, while providing crisis intervention and ensuring on-site security; a compassionate, dependable candidate with a bachelor’s or associate degree and experience with children is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university and one year work experience with children; OR
• Associate’s degree or 60 Credit hours from an accredited college/university and three years’ work experience with children.

Responsibilities

• Designate senior staff as lead when not on duty.
• Operate as Senior staff when on duty.
• Ensure the safety and security of the facility.
• Oversee the implementation of the patients schedule including intake and screening of new and existing patients.
• Develop and implement systems to organize and monitor work activities.
• Facilitate new employee on-the-job training.
• Provide direction for overnight staff regarding job duties and responsibilities.
• Schedule employee training to ensure that all mandatory training requirements are met; attends mandatory in-service meetings and trainings.
• Conduct effective supervisory conferences and performance evaluations with employees, documents the content of such meetings, and provides feedback.
• Conduct headcount checks, nightly safety checks, and outside perimeter checks per contracting/licensing requirements.
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques and responds and intervenes during conflicts.
