Sweeping Corporation of America is seeking a Full-Time Street Sweeper (CDL-B) to join our team in St. Peters, MO. In this role, you will operate street maintenance equipment and complete assigned routes safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Tanker endorsement strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review routes in advance, complete assigned work on time with attention to quality.

JOB TITLE: Street Sweeper (CDL-B) – Full-Time

LOCATION: St. Peters, MO

HOURS: 3rd Shift, Schedule Subject to Change Based on Business Needs

COMPENSATION: $32.90 / Hour - Payrate increases to $33.90 / Hour following successful completion of a 60-day probationary period

TRAVEL: Minimal (1-10%)

Your daily impact:

As our next Street Sweeper, you'll be at the heart of our mission—delivering essential services that help improve public safety and enhance environmental quality. In this role, you’ll take ownership of assigned routes, drive the street sweeper, and operate specialized equipment to keep streets clean and well-maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Route Execution: Review routes in advance, ask clarifying questions as needed, and complete assigned work on time with attention to quality.
• Safety & Inspections: Complete required pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is safe and operational before starting work.
• Equipment & Material Handling: Operate equipment safely and efficiently, follow traffic laws and site protocols, and handle materials according to disposal and safety procedures.
• Reporting & Documentation: Immediately report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns and accurately complete required logs and paperwork.
• Professional Communication: Represent the Company professionally and communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients.
• Adaptability & Reliability: Respond effectively to changing conditions, solve problems as they arise, and maintain regular, predictable attendance.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Education: High School or GED
• Experience: 1 year DOT driving experience – waste & recycling services experience preferred
• License: CDL-B & DOT Medical Card
• Endorsements: Tanker endorsement strongly preferred
• Age: Must be at least 21 years of age
• Compliance: Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.

• Equipment & Tools: Operation of specialized equipment (e.g., mechanical broom sweeper) and use of hand controls, foot controls, and fine motor skills.
• Safety & Protective Gear: Required use of appropriate PPE, including high-visibility apparel, eye, ear, hand, foot, head, lung, and skin protection.
