Job summary

You will manage budgeting, inventory flow, and merchandising, supervise hourly associates, and advance diversity and belonging in the workplace.

Qualifications

• 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• For positions involving firearms or ammunition, required background checks and training or certificates.
• Required to attend and complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates.
• Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising, and company direction; introduce and lead company change efforts.
• Model exceptional customer service standards, following the One Best Way service model, managing customer service initiatives and outreach programs, resolving complaints and issues, and implementing process improvements.
• Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing PL statements, budgeting, forecasting, controlling expenses, ensuring effective merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and implementing action plans to mitigate shrink.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing associates, and fostering a belonging mindset.
