Job summary

Meijer in Wisconsin is seeking a store leadership professional to direct day-to-day operations across multiple departments, coach team members, and deliver superior customer service. You’ll focus on staffing, training, and ensuring adherence to company standards while driving efficiency and sales.

Qualified candidates bring 2–3 years of retail experience and at least 1 year in a supervisory role, with strong communication and problem-solving skills to mentor staff and uphold a safe shopping

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear and precise direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root cause issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development for team members.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Mentors and coaches the team to meet and exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Ensures team is trained in all job aspects and completed required training.
• Spends majority of time in store communicating with customers and team members to ensure service quality.
